Time: Approximately 1:06 a.m. on September 26
A woman was sexually assaulted while walking along Columbia Pike in the early morning hours of September 26. Police responded to a report of a suspicious person and learned that the male suspect had approached the victim and engaged in conversation before inappropriately touching her buttocks.
When the victim threatened to call the police, the suspect allegedly brandished a knife, knocked her phone to the ground, and fled the scene. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a heavyset Hispanic male with a short black beard, wearing a blue and black hat, red and blue shirt, and riding an electric scooter. The investigation is ongoing.
