A suspected shoplifting incident escalated into an attempted robbery at a business on the morning of June 24.
Police say the suspect collected merchandise and attempted to leave without paying before employees confronted him. A struggle over a shopping cart followed, during which the suspect allegedly threatened the employees before fleeing the store.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a Black male between 50 and 60 years old, standing approximately 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, wearing gray clothing and black shoes.
The investigation remains ongoing.
