A shoplifting incident escalated into a robbery after a suspect allegedly threatened store employees while fleeing with stolen merchandise.
Police say the incident occurred around 10 a.m. when a man entered a business, concealed merchandise inside a duffle bag and left without paying.
When Loss Prevention personnel confronted him outside the store, the suspect allegedly made threatening statements before running away.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a thin Black male wearing all black clothing.
Police continue to investigate.
