Police are searching for a robbery suspect after a shoplifting incident escalated into a confrontation with store employees in Arlington.
Investigators say the suspect entered a business, concealed merchandise and attempted to leave without paying. When confronted by Loss Prevention personnel outside the store, the suspect allegedly made threatening statements and attempted to strike the employees.
Loss Prevention staff recovered the stolen merchandise before the suspect fled on foot.
No injuries were reported.
Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, light blue shorts and a black hat.
The investigation remains active.
