Arlington County police are investigating a robbery connected to a shoplifting incident at a business on South Hayes Street.
Police say the suspect entered the store, concealed merchandise and exited without paying. When confronted by a loss prevention employee outside the business, the suspect allegedly shoved the employee and made threatening statements before running from the area on foot.
Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a light-complexion Black male, approximately 5-foot-7 and around 180 pounds, wearing all black clothing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
