A shoplifting incident escalated into a robbery when a suspect attempted to assault an employee who confronted him outside a store.
Police say the suspect entered the business, pretended to shop, and then walked out with merchandise without paying. When confronted, he attempted to strike the employee before fleeing.
No injuries were reported. The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim ran inside the business to escape, and the suspect fled before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
