A man was seriously injured in a stabbing early Monday morning in Arlington. Police were dispatched to the unit block of S. Old Glebe Road just after midnight on October 7 following reports of an assault.
According to authorities, the male victim had been sitting outside when he was approached by an unknown man who began yelling at him. The situation quickly escalated, and the suspect struck the victim with a sharp object, inflicting a significant laceration. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.
Officers found the victim on the scene and provided emergency aid until medics arrived. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a bald white male, approximately 65 to 70 years old. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Arlington County Police.
