A suspicious vehicle parked on a bridge over Interstate 66 prompted a precautionary response Friday afternoon, resulting in temporary road closures.
An Arlington County patrol officer discovered the unoccupied vehicle and initiated an investigation. Authorities closed nearby roads while the situation was assessed.
Members of the Arlington County Fire Department Bomb Squad responded and determined there was no credible threat associated with the vehicle.
After the scene was cleared, all road closures were lifted.
