Teen Accused of Brandishing Replica Gun at Arlington County Fair

A juvenile male is facing multiple allegations after police say he brandished what appeared to be a firearm while officers were working at the Arlington County Fair.

At approximately 6:22 p.m., the teenage suspect approached officers and briefly spoke with them before allegedly brandishing what appeared to be a gun. Officers gave the teen commands, took him into custody and secured the weapon.

Police later determined the object was a replica water gun. No injuries were reported.

During the investigation, officers also recovered a knife and alcohol from the suspect’s backpack.

Petitions were obtained for Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Brandishing on School Property, Possession of Alcohol Under 21 and Possession of Alcohol on School Property.
