A reported fight in the Columbia Pike area escalated into a dangerous situation when a juvenile suspect allegedly pulled a knife and attempted to attack another male. Officers arriving on scene encountered the suspect, who ignored commands and fled on foot.
After a brief pursuit, officers detained the teen near Columbia Pike and South Dinwiddie Street. While in custody, the suspect reportedly became combative, assaulting and threatening officers.
Authorities have filed multiple petitions, including attempted malicious wounding, assault on police, obstruction of justice, and tobacco possession by a minor.
