A call about trespassing at a business on S. Glebe Road escalated into a physical confrontation on December 12.
Police responded after a male suspect was reportedly acting disorderly and refusing to leave the premises despite being asked to do so by employees. Upon arrival, officers attempted to take the man into custody. As they escorted him out of the business, the suspect allegedly became noncompliant and kicked one of the officers.
The officer was not injured, though the suspect sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
Jewel Martinez Rosa, 27, of Brandon, Florida, was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstruction of Justice.
