ARLINGTON, VA — Two juveniles were taken into custody following the alleged robbery of two other juveniles inside a business on S. Hayes Street, according to police.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of S. Hayes Street at approximately 3:56 p.m. Police said three male suspects in their early teens approached two juvenile male victims inside a business.
One suspect allegedly assaulted one victim while another suspect stole an item of clothing from him. A third suspect allegedly stole clothing from the second victim. Neither victim was injured.
The suspects fled on foot, and police issued a lookout. Officers later located three individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions in the 1200 block of S. Hayes Street.
Police took one suspect into custody at the scene. A second was apprehended following a brief foot pursuit. The stolen items were recovered.
Two officers and one of the suspects sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
Petitions were obtained for the first suspect on two robbery counts and conspiracy to commit a felony. The second suspect faces petitions for two robbery counts, conspiracy to commit a felony and obstruction of justice.
The third suspect was not located, and the investigation remains ongoing.
