An attempted shoplifting incident turned into an attempted robbery after two suspects allegedly threatened an employee at a Washington Boulevard business.
Police say a woman attempted to leave with unpaid merchandise before being confronted. As the employee struggled to recover the merchandise, a male accomplice allegedly made threatening statements.
The suspects fled without the merchandise, which was recovered.
The female suspect was described as wearing a black-and-white tank top and an orange baseball cap. The male suspect wore a black jacket and black head covering.
No injuries were reported.
