At approximately 12:08 a.m. on June 14, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly forced entry into a construction site, stole construction materials and attempted to flee the scene. Responding officers observed the male suspect in the area and issued commands during which he was noncompliant, and a foot pursuit ensued. With the assistance of additional responding officers, the suspect was subsequently taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, burglarious tools and the stolen construction materials were recovered. Franco Santoro, 47, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Attempted Petit Larceny.
