UNLAWFUL ENTRY:  3900 block of 5th Street N. Arlington VA

At approximately 1:44 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined an employee of the residential building entered a vacant apartment and observed the male suspect inside. The employee then left the scene and the suspect allegedly took the employee’s keys from the door. Responding officers located the suspect outside the residential building and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, property damage to the apartment was discovered, the employee’s keys were recovered and the suspect provided false personal identification information to officers. Garland Mines, 39 of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry, Petit Larceny, Destruction of Property and Giving False Identification to Police.
