Unlawful Entry and Concealed Weapon Arrest in S. Fillmore Street Neighborhood

Location: 300 block of S. Fillmore Street, Arlington, VA
Time: 11:08 p.m. on September 30, 2025

Police responded to a suspicious person report late Monday night in the 300 block of S. Fillmore Street, Arlington VA. Upon arrival, officers determined that a male suspect had allegedly been jumping over fences in nearby yards located in the 400 block of S. Edgewood Street.

A lookout was issued, and responding officers soon spotted the suspect exiting a residence on S. Fillmore Street. A brief struggle ensued, but officers were able to detain the individual. During the search incident to arrest, brass knuckles were found in the suspect’s possession.

Medics evaluated the suspect at the scene. After receiving clearance, Todd Bruner, 56, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of Unlawful Entry

  • Two counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon

  • Possession of Blackjacks

The incident remains under investigation.
