A quiet night turned into a terrifying experience for a woman in her Arlington home when an unknown man allegedly broke into her residence. The incident occurred just after midnight on October 15, when the woman heard an unusual noise and investigated, only to discover a male intruder inside her home. Her screams alerted another household member, who then confronted the suspect.
The man fled the scene on foot, but responding officers were able to locate him shortly after at the intersection of N. Glebe Road and N. Pershing Drive. Upon arrest, the suspect gave false identification to law enforcement officers. He was later identified as 43-year-old Victor Vasquez of Arlington, VA. He has been charged with Unlawful Entry, Public Intoxication, and Giving False Identity to Law Enforcement.
