Police are investigating a violent robbery that occurred early April 23 along Columbia Pike. According to authorities, a man was jogging in the area when he approached four individuals and began speaking with them. The interaction escalated when the suspects became aggressive, assaulted the victim, and knocked him to the ground.
Two of the suspects reportedly brandished knives and stole the victim’s cellphone and backpack before fleeing. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The investigation remains ongoing.
