Weapons Violation Arrest Reported on South Glebe Road

Arlington County police arrested a 26-year-old Bristow man following a late-night incident at a business on South Glebe Road.

Police responded to the 200 block of S. Glebe Road at approximately 11:52 p.m. on September 15 for a reported larceny. According to police, a male suspect entered the business wearing a ski mask and began acting disorderly, prompting employees to contact authorities.

Responding officers saw an individual matching the suspect’s description leaving the business and took him into custody.

During the investigation, officers recovered a firearm and ammunition from the suspect. Police determined that the man was a convicted felon.

Cameron Payton, 26, of Bristow, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon and wearing a mask in a public place. He was held without bond.
