ARLINGTON, VA — A 31-year-old Arlington woman was arrested Thursday night after police said she broke into an occupied home on the 4000 block of 23rd Street N.
Arlington County police responded to a reported burglary at approximately 10:58 p.m. on September 17. According to police, a woman allegedly forced her way into the residence by throwing a rock through a glass door.
The male resident encountered the woman inside the home, where police said she exposed herself before running into another room. The resident called police, and responding officers found the suspect inside the home and took her into custody.
Police identified the woman as Katherine Claffey, 31, of Arlington. During the investigation, officers determined Claffey was also wanted on outstanding warrants by the Arlington County Police Department and the Arlington County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Claffey was charged with burglary, missile into an occupied dwelling, destruction of property and indecent exposure. She was also served with the outstanding warrants and was held without bond.
