Arlington County police are investigating an attempted burglary after a woman confronted a man who allegedly opened the door to her residence and looked inside on October 23.
Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Lexington Street at approximately 5:14 p.m. following a report of suspicious circumstances.
According to police, the woman was inside her home when an unknown man opened a door and looked into the residence.
The woman confronted the individual, who fled the area in a black pickup truck.
Responding officers searched the surrounding neighborhood but were unable to locate the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a Black man in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with facial hair and dreadlocks. He was reportedly wearing all-black clothing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
